Chris Manegold, former CEO of the Economic Development Alliance of Southern Ohio, has been recognized with Emeritus Status as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). Manegold first earned the CEcD designation in 1985, with recertification required every three years through criteria that include continuing education and service to the profession.
In April 2017 Chris retired as the founding CEO of the Alliance after eleven years, capping a 44-year career in community and economic development. He has remained active in economic development in volunteer roles with the Joint Economic Development Initiative of Southern Ohio, a regional partnership he helped to form in 2012, and most recently as a member of a hurricane economic recovery team in the Florida Keys for the U.S. Economic Development Administration. Last month Chris was an invited presenter at a disaster recovery forum in Atlanta.
