Green Fox Plastics Announces $7.2M Investment in Holmes County

Green Fox Plastics, part of the Little Cottage Company, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), and the Holmes County Economic Development Council, today announced an investment of over $7.2 million to construct a new facility in Millersburg, Ohio, creating 12 new jobs.

Established in 2020, Green Fox Plastics is an Ohio-based, family-owned company created to provide furniture-grade poly lumber board to Little Cottage Company for manufacturing its outdoor poly furniture and other products. Last year, the company began selling to other companies with sales across and beyond the state of Ohio.

“Green Fox Plastics is thankful for the support JobsOhio has provided to help us get the project moving forward,” said Dan Schlabach, owner of Green Fox Plastics. “We look forward to providing great jobs and opportunities for the community.”

Green Fox Plastics, through its development company Red Fox Real Estate, will construct a 64,000-square-foot manufacturing facility with new machinery and equipment to increase production capacity.

JobsOhio supported the project with a $40,000 JobsOhio Inclusion Grant, and OhioSE assisted the company with the grant process. The JobsOhio Inclusion Grants exist to provide financial support for eligible projects in designated distressed communities and/or businesses owned by underrepresented populations across the state.

“We love to see our local manufacturers grow their capacity and impact,” said Mike Jacoby, OhioSE President. “Assistance from JobsOhio through the Inclusion Grant will help the company scale up its operations to meet the growing need for its services. This investment will set the company up for long-term success in Holmes County.”

In June, Holmes County approved a 50%, 10-year Ohio Enterprise Zone tax exemption to assist with the company’s expansion.

“We were thrilled to learn of Green Fox Plastics’ plans for growth,” said Mark Leininger, Executive Director of Holmes County Economic Development Council. “The company will be making a significant investment in a new facility and equipment and the Holmes County Economic Development Council is pleased to have an opportunity to support the company in this endeavor. We wish Green Fox continued success as it moves forward with this important project. Thanks, as always, to OhioSE for its continued support of business growth in Holmes County.”
