Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE) announced today Eric Taylor as its new Project Manager and Shale Specialist, effective Tuesday, August 1. Taylor’s hire follows the departure of Bill Arnett, who recently accepted the role of Economic Development Director of the Guernsey County Community Improvement Corporation.
Taylor is a Marietta College alum and an experienced business development professional with a demonstrated history of sales and relationship management. Prior to joining the OhioSE team, Taylor worked for several local organizations including Bi-Con Services, Marietta College, and CXT. At Bi-Con Services, Taylor worked collaboratively with OhioSE and local economic development organizations on the construction and expansions of businesses throughout Southeast Ohio, including spec buildings and attraction projects.
Most recently, Taylor served as an Outside Sales Associate for L.B. Foster, where he was responsible for managing the sales of precast infrastructure and construction products in the greater Mid-Ohio Valley region.
Born and raised in Gallipolis, Ohio, Taylor now works out of Marietta and is excited to be able to support OhioSE’s mission and efforts to better communities and increase prosperity for people who live and work here.
“This region has a lot to offer and being able to help move the needle in the right direction is something I am very passionate about,” said Taylor. “This position is a perfect collaboration of my experience and skill set. I’m looking forward to bringing the relationships I’ve built and maintained, as well as my diverse background in development, oil & gas, and sales, to the OhioSE team.”
At OhioSE, Taylor will join the Project Management team. “Eric has great industry experience and connections in the region,” said OhioSE President, Mike Jacoby. “He will quickly get up to speed and provide valuable assistance to companies in the region and be an important member of the OhioSE team.”
Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE) is the JobsOhio Network Partner for southern, eastern, and southeastern Ohio, providing economic development work and resources in 25 rural counties; they are the newest and geographically the largest of the six regions across the state.
