The APEG region was honored in two of the seven categories of awards presented at the Ohio Economic Development Association’s (OEDA) Annual Summit in October. Each year the summit presents Annual Excellence Awards for outstanding accomplishments of individuals and organizations in economic and workforce development.
APEG won in the category of Large Community Excellence in Economic Development Marketing for the Ohio River Sites Initiative. Videos to highlight the award winning entries were produced by the OEDA; the APEG video is included here.
Gallia County received Runner Up for Small Community Excellence in Economic Development Marketing for an aerial marketing video they produced earlier this year.
Held at the Columbus Renaissance Downtown on October 19th, the following seven awards were presented to organizations and individuals throughout the state:
- Best Project
- Excellence in Economic Development Marketing — Small Community (under 50,000 pop.)
- Excellence in Economic Development Marketing — Medium Community (50,000 – 150,000 pop.)
- Excellence in Economic Development Marketing — Large Community (150,000 pop. or multi-jurisdictional campaign
- Excellence in Economic Development Innovation
- Excellence in Workforce Development Innovation
- Excellence in Volunteerism
- Rookie of the Year
