Plaskolite, LLC, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), the Ohio Department of Development and Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority, today announced an investment of $11.9 million in its Zanesville facility, creating 38 new jobs. The expansion is being supported by a tax credit from the Ohio Department of Development.
“As a worldwide manufacturing leader of cutting-edge engineered thermoplastics, Plaskolite’s investment in Ohio will add jobs and boost the company’s manufacturing capacity in Zanesville,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “An Ohio-headquartered company, Plaskolite’s continued commitment to expanding at home demonstrates the company’s confidence in the region’s talent and the value of the relationships the company has built at the state and local level.”

The investment in the Zanesville facility would increase product output by 85%.
The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority is working to expand its rail transfer station to meet the company’s raw material transportation needs.
“Our community has had a long-standing and positive relationship with Plaskolite, LLC,” said Matt Abbott Executive Director. “We are thrilled of Plaskolite’s decision to expand in Zanesville and bring additional employment opportunities and capital investment to our area.”
JobsOhio plans to provide assistance for the project, which will be made public after a final agreement is executed. JobsOhio plans help Plaskolite with its overall talent strategy through its Talent Acquisition Services Program. The services will be tailored to the company’s needs, including elements such as attraction, engagement, selection, and sourcing of candidates, as well as training.
OhioSE helped the company through the process necessary to obtain assistance. The Muskingum County Ohio Means Jobs Incumbent Worker Training program will be used to upskill and train employees on the new equipment.
“We congratulate Plaskolite, LLC on its decision to invest in Muskingum County,” said OhioSE Interim President Katy Farber. “The new jobs and investment tied to this project will work to further ensure the long-term future of this plant.”
