In order to meet growing customer demand, Precision Welding & Installation LLC today announced plans to construct a new building in Hopewell Township (Muskingum County).
Precision Welding & Installation (PWI) has been delivering high-quality metal fabrication to its customers for over a decade. The company specializes in the fabrication of structural steel, structural steel erection, mechanical equipment installation, and industrial maintenance.
PWI is out of space in the current 2,500-square-foot facility it leases and is making plans to construct an 8,000-square-foot building on a two-acre parcel owned by company president Steve Crumbaker, Jr. The new building will be expandable to 12,000 square feet.
Precision Welding & Installation, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), and the Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority, announced it will be making a fixed assessment investment of $600,000 ($400,000 for the building and $200,000 for additional CNC machinery and welding equipment) and will eventually create 10 new jobs. PWI also will retain six jobs.
“Our customers are very supportive and appreciate the high-quality work and service provided by our employees,” said Crumbaker, Jr. We are excited to expand into our new location and be able to meet the needs of even more growing businesses in the region.”
JobsOhio supported the project with a $25,000 JobsOhio Inclusion Grant and Ohio Southeast Economic Development assisted the company with the grant process. The Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority will provide ongoing local support to the business in the areas of workforce, financing, and incentives.
“We are fortunate to continue to see innovators and entrepreneurs thrive in Muskingum County,” said Matt Abbott, Port Authority Executive Director. “It is exciting to see Precision Welding & Installation’s growth and success.”
The JobsOhio Inclusion Grant exists to provide financial support for eligible projects in designated distressed communities and/or for businesses owned by underrepresented populations across the state.
“It definitely is great to see companies in our region grow their capacity and impact,” said Mike Jacoby, OhioSE President and CEO. “We are grateful to JobsOhio for its investment in Precision Welding & Installation and the Southeast Ohio region, setting the company up for long-term success in Muskingum County.”
