The Ohio Southeast Region is home some of the highest quality hardwood forests in the USA. These forests supply a vibrant furniture industry in the largest Amish community in the USA. Our hardwoods also support hundreds of sawmills as well as veneer, flooring, bourbon barrels & staves, staircase and architectural woodwork manufacturers.
Ohio is the fourth largest producer of coveted Appalachian Hardwoods in USA, and has over 50 billion board feet of standing timber and more than 400 million board feet of hardwoods are harvested in Southeast Ohio per year. Two-thirds of Ohio’s forestland is located in Southern and Eastern Ohio.
