Bobcat Network Established by Ohio University to Support Local Business & Nonprofit

There is a new strategy emerging for providing direct support to local businesses and nonprofit organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by our friends at Ohio University.

The Ohio University Alumni Association, in partnership with Ohio University Corporate Engagement and the Center for Campus and Community Engagement, has created the Bobcat Neighborhood. This is a directory of alumni-owned and/or operated organizations, as well as businesses and nonprofits within all Ohio University campus communities purposely built to allow the Bobcat family to support one another.

This collaborative endeavor is in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, however, this directory is being built with long-term opportunities in mind. In the short term, alumni will be able to identify Bobcat affiliated establishments and order merchandise online, or order take-out meals in their hometown, and even help spread awareness by using the hashtags #bobcatneighborhood and #bobcatstakecare.

Nevertheless, the long-term community and network building opportunities are the true value of this endeavor, and that is why Ohio University is hoping local nonprofits and businesses will join the Bobcat Neighborhood!
